Can somebody tell me something about this lwa named Linglessou, as far as i have heard or seen, i have been told, that there is a family of lwas with that common name, and common hints, because Linglessou is a fierce lwa, strong and hard. That“s all i know, if somebody knows anything else, i would apreciate your help.

Tue, August 19, 2008 - 8:14 AMWell, thank you anyhow. I have talked to some haitian friends (remeber i am dominican) and yes, Linglessou is a petro lwa, he rides in rada path too, and here in DR there are people who serve this loa (considered here as merely petro). There is the information i had collected: Linglesou-is a Magician/Sorcerer. He executes judgement on those who have gone back on their word or who have harmed one of the faithful. He travels via the air and is found in places when people gather to deal in activities that involve greed and excess. He likes sharp objects knives scissors and especially razor blades, as well as barbed wire- all things that tear the flesh. He has a great appetite and a hunger that is satified by blood when it is warm. In the Hoodoo tradition the term *Bucket of Blood* relates to rough bars where fights happen on a regular basis and blood is spilled. This is the type of place that Linglesou likes to frequent in order to eat.
ANGLESSSOU o (L“Inglinsou).
In Haiti it its believed that this loa descends from a king from West Africa. He has names or avatars like: Linglesou Bassin Sang, Langles Guelle (or Linglesou Guerre). This lwa is related to an ancient ritual performed to represent the way the behavior of humans could change from good to evil. For that reason this lwa was used formerly to take avenge over those whom had misbehavior, because he is a very stricted lwa, with a justice sense meant about taking up revenge by blood. This lwa is related to war, punishment, justice or revenge and Divine Justice. His favorite color is red, and the word "bassin sang" means "bucket of blood". In Haiti and in DR this lwa is seen under a different way. His weekday is Tuesday. The catholic saints related to him are Sacred Heart of Jesus, Jesus Crowned in Thorns, Saint Michael.
